Sample Menu for Adult with Type 2 DM (Chinese)

Assuming adult with body weight=57 kg, BMI=22.5 kg/m2, moderate physical activity with Type 2 Diabetes mellitus






Breakfast


2 slices of white bread + 2 teaspoon of margerine
1 glass low fat milk

Morning tea

1 piece red bean dumpling
1 cup of tea 


Lunch


3 scoops of cooked white rice
1 cup of Moo Goo Gai Pan
½ cup of bok choy with garlic oyster sauce
1 whole of tangerine


Afternoon tea


3 piece xiao long pao with minced pork
1 glass low fat milk




Dinner


1 bowl of soup with koey tiaw
2 slices of chicken meat  (in the soup)
1 slice of honey dew


Supper

1 glass of low fat milk
6 pieces of cream cracker biscuits
