Sample Menu for Adult with Type 2 DM (Indian)

Assuming adult with body weight=57 kg, BMI=22.5 kg/m2, moderate physical activity with Type 2 Diabetes mellitus




EATING TIME
FOOD MENU


Breakfast


1 whole tosai
4 tbs kuah dhal
1 cup teh ‘o’


Morning tea


2 pieces kuih vadailapa
1 cup of low fat milk




Lunch


1 plate white rice
1 piece ayam masak kari
½ cup  kari sayur (dhall, lobak merah dan terung)
½ cup acar pudina dengan tairu
1 whole banana
1 glass plain water


Afternoon tea


½ cup  payasam
1 glass fresh milk




Dinner


1 whole capati masala berinti
1 cup salad india dengan tairu
1 slice papaya
1 glass plain water
